What the Fish - Trailer
+In one or two sentences, describe the main themes present in your game.
The main themes present in our game are existentialism and conspiracy.
+What was the inspiration of the game?
What made your team decide to make this game specifically?
Our inspirations for this game were liminal meta horror media like Severance and Pony Island. We wanted to explore the creepy elements of working remotely and putting your privacy in the hands of the corporation you work for.
+Were there difficult moments when developing the game? What led to those difficult moments? What did you learn from it?
Simulating a desktop was one of the most difficult things we did because the programming architecture to accomplish that was quite complicated. What we learned was that if we are trying to achieve something complicated, our architecture not only needs to be flexible, but we should challenge ourselves to prove we can do it sustainably early on.
+Were there features you had to remove, and if so, what were they and why were they removed?
Most of the elements that were removed had to do with narrative. We had to remove multiple endings because, to have accomplished that mechanic, we would have had to had much more time (to do it well).
+Talk about your teammates! What was everyone's role?
