Interview with the Developers:
+In one or two sentences, describe the main themes present in your game.

It's a game about finding direction, both physically and emotionally, in a world built to throw you off-course.
+What was the inspiration of the game?
What made your team decide to make this game specifically?

In a time where real-world uncertainty often blurs the line between comedy and chaos, we wanted to offer an escape that reflects an exaggerated version of American culture through humor, style, and action!
+Were there features you had to remove, and if so, what were they and why were they removed?

We had a reputation system planned for the game where character interactions and choices affected gameplay, but that was scrapped due to having to put more work into other parts of the game. We also planned for a sports mini-game called "Grenade Football" involving using your car to participate in a dangerous obstacle course, but that had to be cut due to time constraints.
+Talk about your teammates! What was everyone's role?

Jack and Aaron handled all the programming and brought the game’s systems to life and made sure the combat was full of fun and chaos! Derin was our go-to for all things UI/UX and making everything feel juicy and satisfying. She also helped out as a tech artist, programmer, and kept us on track with project management support.

Arva was one of our amazing artists and also our main worldbuilder, fleshing out the game’s lore and making sure everything was packed with personality and humor.

Tatiana wore multiple hats, creating beautiful art and composing the music that gives Sunset Chaser its unique tone and energy. Jade designed the game’s UI postcard style art and visuals and was always jumping in with great ideas that shaped how the game plays and feels.

The designers on the team made the game's encounters exciting, drawing from movies to make them feel cinematic and adventurous through gameplay! Ahmed and Tatiana teamed up on project management duties, keeping meetings productive, tasks organized, and the team vibe positive and collaborative. We also bought many cookies for the team to keep them on track! Lola contributed artwork and helped shape the game’s wacky tone and world with fun narrative ideas.

We are a group of 20-something year old nerds that make accessible and concise games that you can play for hours. We invite you into new worlds where you can delve into life’s big questions while having a damn good time!

We love driving games, road trips, and movies and we hope that passion comes through in every part of Sunset Chaser!
