Abigail - Trailer
+In one or two sentences, describe the main themes present in your game.
Abigail is a handcrafted narrative adventure game about going home. It’s filled with bittersweet nostalgia, navigating complicated friendships, and your mom telling you that your hair looks dry.
+What was the inspiration of the game?
What made your team decide to make this game specifically?
We've talked a lot about this idea of the "you shaped hole", that there is this void that's created in the place you grew up when you leave it. Then, when you return to that place, the space you used to fill has warped and feels comforting and surreal all at once. This bittersweet nostalgia inspired us to handcraft art for the game made with materials from our childhoods: pipe cleaners, felt, clay, and old magazines.
+Were there difficult moments when developing the game? What led to those difficult moments? What did you learn from it?
The hardest moments were when we had to stop crafting and actually make a video game
+Talk about your teammates! What was everyone's role?
Abigail was made by Antonio, Biagi, and Isabelle! Our team worked collaboratively, each of us designing, writing, drawing, programming, and crafting together.
